1. Types of city tickets

Autotrolej issues an RCC (Rijeka City Card) Torpedo card on which the user can register a monthly, multi-month or annual right to use public transport.

2. Is there any other way to register the right to use the city’s public transport services than on the City Card?

There is no other way to register the right to use the city’s services. You can only register the right to travel on the City Card.

3. Which documents do I need to present at the point of sale in order to become a City Card user?

For an adult:

  • a completed and signed Card Application,
  • The request for the registration of the right to use the passenger transport service – the Rijeka City Card
  • a valid identity document (identity card or passport)

For a minor:

  • a completed and signed Card Application (by the minor and a parent/legal representative)
  • The request for the registration of the right to use the passenger transport service – the Rijeka City Card
  • Extract from the registry of births/birth certificate/personal ID card/passport of the minor
  • a copy of a valid identity document (identity card or passport) of a parent or legal representative

A minor does not have to be present with a parent or legal representative upon the submission of a Card Application.

4. Where can I register the right to use public transport services and what documentation is required?

You can register the right to use public transport services at Autotrolej points of sale, as follows:

5. Which rights to travel can be purchased at Tisak and iNovine kiosks?

Monthly rights to travel for pupils, secondary school pupils, students, workers and pensioners can be purchased and registered at Tisak and iNovine kiosks.

6. When buying from the Internet, the correct subsidy is not calculated (what to do)?

If the correct amount of the subsidy is not calculated when purchasing a right to travel via the Internet service, please come to one of our points of sale to check in detail what the issue is.

7. The rights to travel that I registered on the card do not work, what is the problem?

For all difficulties with the rights to use public transport services, please contact the Information and Complaints Department at 060 151 151 or 051 311 400.

8. What are the prices of travel tickets by the types of permits and zones?

9. Does a user have to select the zone they are travelling to before placing their card on the validator?

Yes, the user selects the zone number to which they wish to travel and only then places the card on the validator.

10. Is a user allowed to return with an already purchased right to travel in the opposite direction?

Yes, the user may use the transport service travelling in the opposite direction within the time limit defined for each zone (60 minutes in one zone, 70 minutes in two zones, 90 minutes in three zones and 130 minutes in four zones).

11. Is a user entitled to certain discounts for exercising the right to use the services of Autotrolej, what exactly are these discounts and how can users exercise them, i.e. what documentation do they need for that?

Certain categories of users are entitled to subsidies, and the documentation necessary to obtain these rights is described in the General Conditions of Carriage.

12. What happens if an inspector puts a card on the “blacklist”. What does the user have to do, who do they contact?

An inspector puts a card on the “blacklist” in the case that a user is using a prepaid right to travel that is not in their name, when the card is invalid (e.g. there is no registered permit for the current month, or the zone(s) that they are using…) or they have not purchased an individual ticket (from the driver/at the validator). The user is obliged to come to Autotrolej – Travel Ticket Control Department at Školjić 15.

13. Where can I go if I have a complaint about Autotrolej services?

14. Do I pay again for the issuance of a City Card in the case that it is lost or stolen?

Yes, a standard fee for the issuance of a card fee applies, depending on the type of card.

15. Do I have to pay for the right to travel again?

The re-registration of the right to travel, i.e. the transcription of rights is not charged.

16. Does a City Card need to be registered every time one enters a bus?

The RCC card users are required to validate their card by placing it on the validator each time they enter each vehicle. After logging in, a notification about the validity of the card will appear on the screen of the device. A user who does not perform validation is considered as not having a travel ticket.

17. Can the ticket inspector request some of the personal documents for inspection?

If a passenger is found in a vehicle without a valid ticket, upon the request of the authorised person of the carrier, they are obliged to provide reliable information as to their identity. If the passenger refuses to provide the requested information and if any form of communication breaks down, the inspector can request the assistance of an employee of the authorised police administration, in order to establish the identity of the non-complying person.

18. How to find out about traffic jams or delays?

If there are traffic disruptions that significantly affect the regularity of bus routes, a passenger with a valid ticket can pick up a notice about the irregularity of certain routes at the Traffic Department at Fiumara 13.
